Call for proposals

We look forward to receiving your proposals, with a deadline for submission by May 31, 2026.

The conference will consist of six 90-minute workshop sessions that will present ongoing research and institutional activities. These sessions will provide a platform for dialogue on how universities can integrate sustainability more deeply into their structures. The workshops will take place in parallel on the second and third days of the event, and will address different areas of sustainability.

Participants are welcome to submit proposals for the following workshops:

  • "University Sustainability Governance in Times of Transformation and Vibe Shifts
  • "Teaching and Education for Sustainable Development"

  • "Finding the Right Voice: How Universities Can Communicate Sustainability Without Losing Credibility"

  • "Starting with a New Vibe: Handprint and Nature Positivity for Biodiversity"
  • "Responsible Research: Involving Circularity and Interdisciplinarity from the Beginning in the Research Process"
  • "Una Europa Student Project Incubator"* (only intended for Una europa students).

All proposals must be submitted via the registration platform https://www.conftool.net/higher-ed-sustainability-2026, by May 31, 2026.

The conference team and the workshop chairs will decide on acceptance or rejection of workshop proposals, taking into account several factors, including the overall quality and how well the topic fits with the conference.

Please note that the conference is intended to be held in person in Berlin. There is no intention of allowing simultaneous digital participation. Applications missing information will not be considered.

Selected proposals will be published in our conference program and on our conference website. They may also be published as articles in an editorial volume. Information about the editorial volume can be found here.
