Florian Schmitt is a historian and doctoral candidate at the Technische Universität Berlin, specializing in provenance research and transatlantic relations. He holds an undergraduate degree from Freie Universität Berlin and a Master’s degree from the Humboldt University of Berlin, with a significant portion of his graduate research conducted at the EHESS in Paris. In addition to his academic work, Florian produces and directs documentary films, is a passionate scuba diver and an expert on Berlin’s hidden culinary gems.
